Pennsylvania supports quality early learning

Through the Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) and its partners throughout the Commonwealth, Pennsylvania provides many programs that help families and communities support early learning in our young children.

New! One program proposed for 2007-2008 is Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts, a $75 million proposed investment to provide families the choice of quality full and half day pre-kindergarten for more than 11,000 of Pennsylvania's 3 and 4 year olds.
